Overall Section showing the Freedom Space, Self-Reflection Space and Control Space, respectively.

I created this installation as an architectural promenade - a narrative journey through space that first introduces its user to freedom, and then to control. Through a careful choice of material and spatial configuration, I have created spaces that subconsciously evoke such emotions within its user, so that their emotional and moral sense comes to experience two juxtaposing environments. The user is then taken through into a 'Reflection Space', where for the first time they become aware of the opposing emotions they have just experienced and behaviours they have displayed, and are forced to reflect. Why did they change their behaviour? My design draws users to consider whether this is this something they in fact do in their every day lives, and challenges them to try and change their behaviour beyond the building.
